My Friends, and my Family

Happy day everyone 😊 I hope you enjoy visiting my blog. Now I'll share to you, about my family and friends.

My family. My father is Rain B.Meriño and my mother is Irene E.Meriño. When my father was alive he's an OFW in Japan, then later on, in Canada. While my mother's work is, she's a Factory Worker (specifically in FCC) the same company where did they met each other. I have three siblings namely Leann Rain, Kevin Rain, and Lhurain. We all have "Rain" in our name except from my mother because my father's name is Rain. Leann Rain was now on her 10th grade in high school, Kevin was already Grade 8 and Lhurain is now graduating in her Elementary Level. In our family, most of us love math, except from my mother and my younger sister. Now my father was gone, still we have a happy family.

I'm good at making friends, because I always show my friendly side of me. But im also choosing who my friends should be, because if you go to the wrong persons you might also follow what they do. Once I don't like the attitude of a person I distanced myself to him/her.

On my 9th Grade, I have a friend, were all girls. But we have a misunderstanding so we cool down ourselves first. After a month, me and Bea have been close to Brian, Myles, Darrel, Clarissa and Pauline. On the 21st day of November 2015 specifically Brian's birthday we had an overnight swimming, that's when TROPANG TIMANG (RGT) was formed. We have so many memories together, we always hang out and have fun. But it's turned out that's when were finally in Grade 10, me and Darrel transfer school, one the first few months of being away to them we always chat on facebook, on our GC. Slowly that communication of ours vanished. We seldom chat each other, I think once a month? But were still friends.

Last year, I have so many friends. But my closest friend was Julie Ann (she always make efforts), Ana Rose (the noisy one), and Angelika (she's so hyper, ALWAYS). Every lunchbreak or recess were always together. They always go to our house just to unwind or if they want to. My Auntie and Grandma knows them.

Now, I have new friends here in STI Santa Rosa. They are Karla, AC, Jhana, Rosalie, Marielle, Pauline, Martin, Rev, Alvin, Alfred, David, Eli, and Emman, we name our group TROPANG KUSINA. I also have a closest friend among the boys, he's Januel Franz Gloria. I know him because of Pau, were always together everytime we're going home after school. We always have fun 😊 I hope that we make good and memorable memories together.

Last but not the least, my bestfriend, my buddy, and my rabbit. She is Pauline Fruto Balauro. She's my friend since Grade 9. She's the one who never forget to chat me always even if I'm far from her, it's because she always missed me. I don't know how we became friends, but were so close to each other. I think we became close because we have the same understandings on some things. We may have opposite personality but we don't make that difference on us be a barrier on our friendship. We seldom say sorry to each other because it feels awkward, we'll just shut our mouth, and when we talk to each other it means that we're already okey. I know more about Pau, she's always happy on the outside but inside it's opposite. She never show her lame side even on me, but everytime she tells me something you can observe what she really feels, inspite of that I still want to know her more because she's my BESTFRIEND. I know you're gonna read this, don't cry okey hahaha AWKWARD beshhh.

My friends, they're the one who I share my embarrasing and happiest moments with. The one whom I share my secrets, and after a day or week that secret is no longer a secret. Most of the time, they can't keep secrets hahaha. We may have opposite characteristics but still we can cope with each other in our own way. Friendship is not always built because of our similarities on others, sometimes it's about coping with the differences of each other. Thank you 😊

It's Just Me,Myself & I 😍

Hey! Everybody 🎵 Charr. So first of all, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Lynneth Rain Escarmosa Meriño. I was born in Sta.Rosa Community Hospital on August 9,2001. I have a second name "Rain" because my fathers' name is Rain. Im the first child of my beloved parents, Rain B. Meriño and Irene E.Meriño. I have 3 siblings, 2 girls and our only unico hijo. I'm currently living in Brgy.Banay-Banay, Cabuyao, Laguna. I'm a Lola's Girl (my fathers' mother) because I'm her first grandchild.

 I studied in Holy Redeemer School of Cabuyao when I was in my preparatory level to Grade 2, then I was transferred in Southville 1 Elementary School and graduated there. I transferred in SV1ES, because our family are getting bigger and my parents can't afford to make all of us study in a private school. When I was 9 years old, something tragic happened, my father suddenly passed away. My mother was so devastated. She can't support all our needs. Yes, she has a work but her salary is only exact for our daily needs. So my auntie help us for me to have a scholarship in OWWA. Luckily, I got the scholarship. In Grade 7, I studied in Agustinian School of Cabuyao (Main), then I transferred in Cabuyao National High School for Grade 8 and 9. In Grade 10, I transferred again in Kabulusan Integrated National High School. I always change schools, that's why I'm good in making friends and also in socializing.

My hobbies is surfing on the internet, listening to music, singing, reading books/ Ebooks (specifically wattpad), watching random videos on YouTube, watching KDrama, watching TV and EATING. I like the color, Sky Blue. My favorite food is Daing na Bangus (the boneless one). I don't like veggies except from kangkong, cabbage, and carrots. Everytime there is an occasion in our house, there should always be a SOPAS, i like it specially when my mother or grandmother cooked it. I like the sound of guitar but I can't understand how to use it. I play piano, but not too much. When I was in my childhood days, I and my other playmates play patintero, Tumbang preso, Chinese garter, 10-20, Pokemon, text, pogs, jolen, Taguan, Langit-Lupa, Ice-Water, Tamaan Bola and other Larong kalye. I have an allergy on any alcoholic drinks that's why im not into drinking beers. I like adventures. I'm a person who loves to travel. I'm a person who likes to try something new. I like swimming, playing basketball in the arcade, and also playing badminton. I love to play Special Forces Group 2 in my cellphone. I like driving "motor" but my mother didn't allow me because she know's that I drive fast. I can wear flat shoes, high heels, sneakers or rubber shoes, it depends on what I like to use. I can wear dresses and also jeans, in short I can be a girly one and also a boyish one. I don't like persons who are too selfish, and boastful. I pick who my friends should be, because my father told me to befriend with persons who I can trust and who are not going to be a bad influence to me. They believe that "Who your friends are, is also who you are". When my father was alive, he wants me to be a Doctor, and I also approve to that. But when he was gone, that ambition changed.

Now, I'm a Grade 11 STEM student at STI College Sta.Rosa. I pick STEM because I'd like to be a Civil Engineer someday, my mother didn't disapprove, she always supports me. That's why I want to gave back everything she does to us when I'm finally graduate and has a decent job. Thanks for reading 😊

Introduction

Some of the philosophies of  David Hume are the: Empiricism, Skepticism, and the Naturalism. He is famous or well-known because of his book entitled “A Treatise of Human Nature”. As a title of his work it proclaims that Hume's subject is about Human Nature. “An attempt to introduce the experimental method into moral subjects”, is the summarize subtitle of his project. This book of him, contains his philosophies. According to Wikipedia, Empiricism is a theory that states that knowledge comes only from sensory experience. Their are 3 types of Empiricism the Classical, Radical, and Moderate Empiricism.  The Wikipedia also defines that Skepticism, is any doubt or questioning attitude towards on one or more items of belief. While according to vocabulary.com, Naturalism is the belief that nothing exists beyond the natural world. Now let’s take a look on how David Hume defines or understand those theories or philosophies.

Biography

Let’s first have a background on our philosopher. David Hume was born in Edinburg on May 7, 1711 NS (New Style) or on April 26, 1711 OS (Old Style). He died at the age of 65 on August 25, 1776. He is a Scottish , philosopher, historian, economist and essayist, who is best known today for his highly influential system of philosophical Empiricism, Skepticism, and Naturalism. He tried to describe how the mind works in acquiring what is called knowledge. For him, there can be no knowledge of anything beyond experience so that he concluded that no theory of reality is possible. Despite the enduring impact of his theory of knowledge. He seems to have considered himself chiefly as a moralist.  He is also considered as one of the most important philosophers to write in English.

Philosophy

One of his philosophy/s, is the Empiricism. David Hume is an Empiricist. He believes knowledge comes from experience.  He is an extraordinarily independent and original thinker and ahead of his time. He also believes that we must ignore those knowledge which is not gained through experience is because it is said to be false. Humans cannot know anything for certain except that which we prove empirically. Jeremy Harwood explains Hume insists that we cannot claim the existence of any “thing” unless we can provide evidence for that existence through observational experience. Example is with the existence of God, there is no observational experience then the thing cannot be proved to exist unless there would be an observational experience. He’s empiricist approach to philosophy turns him as a British Empiricist and also places him with John Locke, Francis Bacon, and Thomas Hobbes. He’s second philosophy is, Skepticism. They are two types of skeptic. First is the, moderate sceptics, they know more than the vulgar and those caught up in false philosophy. Next is the, fanatical skeptics, they don’t struggle with attempting to avoid having beliefs that go beyond the evidence or reasons. They admit that most of what they believe goes beyond what they can reliably know or even understand. Hume’s belief in skepticism has two parts: The first part is, he held that curiosity drives us to ask questions about our vulgar opinions and this is one of those drives that is an unexplained part of human nature. Second part is, he believed that there are two alternative outlets for our curiosity. One is the alternative outlets that involves superstition, and the other is philosophy. Philosophy is preferred because it is less dangerous. Third philosophy is, Naturalism. He wants to show that certain general “principles of the imagination” can explain how human beings come to think, feel, believe, and act in all the ways they do independently of the truth or reasonableness of those responses so that he takes his “naturalistic” study of human nature. This appears to leave the reflective philosopher with no reason for assenting to what he has discovered he cannot help believing anyway. Relief from this unacceptably extreme skepticism is found in acknowledging and acquiescing in those forces of “nature” that inevitably overcome the apparent dictates of “reason” and return the philosopher to the responses and beliefs of everyday life. For him, mitigated skepticism means living in full recognition of these forces and limitations and it is what he accepts.

Conclusion/Summary/Application/Analysis

For Hume’s Empiricism, he said that something cannot be told to be true unless there would be an observational experience. Example, someone told you that he likes you, but you don’t see that he really is. Then the thing that he stated may be false. It is connected to the saying that “Action speaks louder than words”, because it is not enough that you just speak or utter something, you should also prove it. For the existence of God, others say that HE is true even though they didn’t see HIM, because we have our own beliefs and perspective.

For Hume’s, Skepticism drives us to curiosity or to be curious about something. According to Merriam Webster, skepticism is an attitude of doubting the truth of something. Example, your teacher was sceptical, because you told her that your elms is not working properly so you didn’t finish the activity which is due yesterday, but you’re the only one in class who hasn’t finished yet. She is doubting if your excuse is true or not. But sometimes people are sceptical because they just don’t want to believe in spite of evidences that you have.

Naturalism, discusses about the existence of something without any supernatural significance. Example is the universe, it has either always existed or had a purely natural origin. And also an example is life, it is an unplanned product of blind natural processes and luck. It doesn’t have any supernatural ideas.

My understanding in Hume’s philosophy/s, is that they are connected with each other. You can’t believe on something which you can’t actually see (Empiricism), so that you’ll start doubting about it if it’s really true (Skepticism), then you’ll seek natural evidences about that without any supernatural significance, because sometimes supernatural’s are not really true (Naturalism). I conclude that most of Hume’s philosophy/s  is about the existence of something and also about knowing what’s true and what’s isn’t.
